Was this song composed or arranged by Morricone? It's curious that it sounds like a mix between the two Morricone-composed songs "J'oublie la pluie et le soleil" (Mireille Mathieu) and "Una stanza vuota" (Lisa Gastoni). Also curious that this Louiselle song apparently is earlier than the other two.

Well, we are dealing with "Il momento giusto" from the film Controsesso. The song was comosed by Guycen, arranged and conducted by EM.
I recognise, more than "J'oublie la pkuie et le soleil", the song "Una stanza vuota" from Svegliati e uccidi, with his series of notes on piano.

It's fun to stumble upon songs with familiar sounds like that.

I do like "J'oublie la pkuie et le soleil" and "Una stanza vuota" alot, but I haven't really fallen for "Il momento giusto" yet. Some more listens might help.

I always interested to hear the instrumental version - which must be never made..... because it's so beautiful piece.

Maybe some musicians could play on some instuments and post on youtube or somewhere any cover versions of this song.
