I'm astonished you are remembering that commentary from Altnikol concerning CARTONI ANIMATI. His mention about the beautiness about this score is in fact true and I'm sure you will not be dissapointed !!

Ah ja, Dominique was the guy from Berlin. I did ask for, because I think I do remember some comments from you(?) concerning the more sad and sentimental pieces from Maestro Morricone. As far as I do remember you like them most and I was thinking - oh, there is another guy out there with a very similar taste like mine. However, if I do rememeber well, I think this new issue from CARTONI ANIMATI should be something you will like.

I´m the guy from Göteborg( Gothenburg) in Sweden. We seem to be many who like the Maestro´s sad and beautiful music. I don´t own the earlier release of CARTONI ANIMATI so I´m very happy for this release. Do anyone of you know if there are some more themes or just variations of the ones in the old release?

In fact, the GDM edition coupled with "Uccellacci uccellini" was just an appetizer.
Certainly this new, if compared with the previous one, shows the effort to give a wider idea of this soundtrack, but in this case too, we can't speak of "complete edition". This is a complete edition just for 2/3 given the fact that the real "complete edition" should have not less than 34/36 tracks. Anyhow, I think that 19 tracks are enough.

Yes, many of these tracks are just variations of the tracks contained in the GDM issuing, but to call them just as variations, would be reducing because, in many cases, these variations seem to be new themes, different as they are from each main themes.

This is, as I said before, a cd I´m really looking forward to. The sad sound in the music seems to be very like the sound in I MAGI RANDAGI. The film director is the same and maybe the solo musicians ( violin, flute) are the same also?
