Ennio Morricone will receive on occasion of the "Wiener Debütantenball" in Rome the Vindobona Prize for his artistic achievements. The event is under the patronage of the city of Vienna, the Austrian embassy, the city of Rome and the region of Lazio. The honorary committee consists of president Berlusconi, the Viennese mayor Häupl, and other members of Austrian and Italian policy.
The profits of this evening, which will be hosted by Italian TV-moderator Milly Carlucci, will be donated to UNICEF. The best dancing couple will be invited to the upcoming Viennese Opera-ball.
