I'm astonished noone is writing a comment about the new DVDR release by COMETA for "Chi l'ha vista morire?" by their so called "Virtual LP's series". As I've written before concerning the issue for OPPOSTE ESPERIENZE, the idea is very nice and this time there will be a new nice innovation for this issue. If I get it right, this "virtual LP" basically means that the music can be heard while some kind of slide or picture show is playing from the DVD?
Does that mean that the DVD audio is in AC3 only?

By the way, the website says it is a "pressed" DVD. Is that not to be trusted? You were speaking of a DVD-R.

Claudio Fuiano wrote in the liner notes of the previous release:
"The complete session tapes to the score are lost for the time being, but the half hour of music on the CD is all that was actually used in the movie."

What I would like to know:
Are there any instrumental versions on this expanded disc, or is it the Voci Bianche all over again?

Whilst I applaud new and innovative ways of presenting film scores I listen to music via a CD player - not a DVD player. It is a pity that these releases don't include CD versions with perhaps the DVD option as a bonus extra. Doubt I will get it - my DVD player is for watching movies.

Äähm, I have to correct myself: The DVD is in fact a pressed release and not a DVDR as I thought before. The bonus material has no instrumental pieces.

Has anyone purchased this DVD?
Is there any new music on it?
Is it worth purchasing for the extra music or should I stick with the current CD?

I did not purchase the previous release as there was no extra music included on it!

Has no-one purchased any of these Virtual CD's? - i'm dying to know if they are worth purchasing and I need people to tell me what they think of them. Content & quality of music! Any extra music?

It's been awhile, but I'll ask the question again in the hope that someone may have bought either of these 'virtual LP's'!

What is the sound quality like?

Yes I have both "Virtual LP's". The inedits on Opposte esperienze are interesting but don't buy it: there's a new release coming up with even more inedits. The ones on Chi l'ha vista morire don't really add much to what we had already.

The sound quality on both releases is excellent.
