The article you mean, has been published 6 days ago on the newspaper "Il Giornale". They have simply mistaken the date. As new season, they meant to say "autumn 2012".

I hate all Mediaset's tvs, CANALE 5 included. Their only purpose is to make money. Also the explanation that they gave about the ULTIMO postponing is a silliness. "...because we have yelded from the commercials less money than expected, we have decided to change our programs. So the two main tv films of the season 2011-2012, ULTIMO, L'OCCHIO DEL FALCO and IL CLAN DEI CAMORRISTI will be postponed to better times (autumn 2012)".
I don't understand the connection between ULTIMO and the fact that to CANALE 5 has arrived less money than expected from the commercials...and I'm not interested to know it.

There are a lot of articles about this postponing; on internet, facebook, twitter. All people (mainly girls), disapponted, very affectionated to the character of ULTIMO, complaining to CANALE 5 for this unexpected, brilliant idea.

CANALE 5 should not attend to any tv films: it's not their field, but because thay have to compete with RAI...
I'll try to know something more from TAODUE, those who have produced the film.

As for a forthcoming cd, everything depends from RTI. It's also possible that the cd is out before the broadcasting: it would not be the first time.
Maybe that RTI has already made the cd, has stored it waiting for the imminent distribution, but then, CANALE 5 what does? Postpones the film.
But RTI cannot keep unsold material, already paid, for 6/7 months in their warehouses so...
Or maybe also that RTI has not yet made any cd and no cd will make also after the broadcasting. It would be a pity because this soundtrack is very innovative, various and very beautiful.
I repeat it: I hate CANALE 5 and their method of working.

Concerning the tv films, there's no limit to the oddities of CANALE 5, but RAI's ones too.
Think that last week RAI has broadcasted IL SOGNO DEL MARATONETA, announced ready for the broadcasting more than one year ago.
The soundtrack has been recorded between late November and early December 2011.

Yesterday, Raul Bova himself, has confirmed that ULTIMO will be broadcasted next autumn.

To have one more confirmation, in these days, after having contacted TAODUE, I did the same thing with FICTION MEDIASET.
They have confirmed that the film will be broadcasted next autumn. Let's hope that, this time, they are right...

Finally ! The awaited dates of broadcast on Canale 5 are now announced, so it seems to be confirmed for next Autumn : Octobre 1 and 2, 2012.

"ULTIMO L'OCCHIO DEL FALCO" should be broadcasted on 1 and 2 October as Patrick rightly said time ago, but, until today, no announce, no trailer on CANALE 5. Strange, because the date is coming.

I shouldn't be amazed if CANALE 5 postponed once again the date of the broadcasting. They have already done it one time, they could do it once again. Of course, they would fall into the ridiculous.
To tell the truth, I don't know from where Fiction Italiane took this news because, during the summer, MEDIASET has never announced it.

One thing is sure. ULTIMO 4 must be absolutely broadcasted within November for commercial reasons.

If ULTIMO 4 will be broadcasted on 1 and 2 October, next week there will be an announce on tv. I'll keep you informed.
